I love love love Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil. It has a flavor that is completely unique in the coconut oil world, kindof like cracking open a fresh coconut and drinking the coconut water (I find other extra virgin coconut oils taste a little bit like coconut flavoring rather than real fresh coconut). Rather than using machines to mechanically separate the oil out of dried coconut, Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil is made the traditional way, “by grating fresh coconut, extracting the coconut milk, and then letting the coconut milk stand in a covered container for about 24 hours. After about 24 hours, the oil naturally separates from the water producing a crystal clear oil that retains the full scent and taste of coconuts.” According to Tropical Traditions, “Independent laboratory analysis shows this to be one of the highest quality coconut oils on the market, having the highest levels of antioxidants.” I love the flavor and one of the reasons I miss coffee so much is because the way I like my coffee is with a big dollop of Gold Label blended in (I think I miss the coconut oil more than the actual coffee!). The gallon buckets are on sale now until July 19th for 45% off retail price (which makes them $65).
